Scream At Flat Water

maddening impulse

- rolling -

restrained impact

into laughter

broken white lines

leading to

cul-de-sac

gasoline friction

empty spaces

howling across

blackened surface

- burning -

reflections of

electric light

over clipped lawns

water beading

on cut blades

keratin vibration

- pulsing -

through still air

in suspension

unbroken flat

tone - stretching

the trigger of

that

maddening laughter

- speedballing -

children tumble

knotted -

over clipped lawns

soaking dew

embedded blade

cutting stone

breaking surface

- watching -

flat water

break
